I am determined to relax this summer
ease up on the writing stuff for a minute
sleep in once in a while
spend some quality time fiddling in the vegetable garden
take my kiddos to the water park and lay in the shade with a good book while they run around
I'm going to try to be a better blogger (I know I've been lousy lately) - but I'm not going to put any pressure on myself.
It would be nice if - come September - I actually felt as if I had a break this summer.

Hope all of that includes an awesome writer's party, hehe! Can't wait to see you again, Tess! Your summer sounds fantastic. :)
Janice - I miss the days when my kiddos were young enough that a trip to the community pool was fun :/. They grow too fast.
Glam: yes!
Tess, I'm reading your book! It's so beautifully written. That's not really my summer plan, but it's summer, and it's what I'm doing, so that counts, right? My other summer plan is to enjoy my commute more now that 20,000 undergraduates are currently on vacation.
I had grand delusions about this being a relaxed summer. It's been crazier than the school year for me. Sigh.
No summer break for me. Just the same ole...same ole! *sigh*
Davin: for real? now I'm all nervous... thanks for reading, though. You've been with me from nearly the start. And,enjoy your lighter commute!
Karen: crazier already? well, here's hoping you get at least a little bit of down time before fall comes.
DL: ah, no rest for the weary. You'll have to put your feet up at some point and imagine you are on vacation.
lol, I'm hoping to have the opposite summer I think that you are. A summer full of writing and productivity. And sure, summer fun with my kids too. But lots and lots of writing I hope!
Your plans for your summer sound awesome, Tess. Reading in the shade while the kids run around sounds wonderful. Enjoy!
I'd love to be productive this summer, but I think with five kids and a hubby teaching summer school, that might not happen. If I can keep up with laundry and have mildly entertained children, I'll be happy. :)
Enjoy that water park!
LOL! You weren't kidding when you said we were on the same wavelength! Here's to both of us having wonderful, happily-lived, summers!
Let's see....My Dad is coming next week. Then Katherine has a volunteer job for a month, hopefully during this time she takes her driving test. We got to Alaska for 7 nights on a cruise. We come back for a week and then go to Minneapolis for a shopping trip (while Walt works). Then school starts and I can start writing again. LOL.
Have a great summer, Tess!
Bond with my newborn! :)
