Everyone is a Winner!

*

Well, not everyone technically. But one lucky comment-or will get my copy of The Invisible Wall by Harry Bernstein.

Truthfully, we are all winners in that we have such a fantastic community of blogging/writerly friends, right???

This drawing is inspired by Scott who once blogged that he would have trouble doing a drawing because he didn't have kids for the pictures (he was being snarky towards me using my kids to draw names....it's ok. I like snarky.) Anyway, I know he has dogs (and at least one sassy cat) so I decided to allow my poodle Daisy to host today's drawing.

Here she is in all her cuteness next to the hat full of names.

I love this dog. She demands nothing and gives her whole heart.

And the winner is......

Danyelle!

You can check out Danyelle's lyrical and creative blog MythTakes through this link.

Danyelle - e mail your mailing address to me at tesshilmo(at)comcast(dot)net and I'll pop the book in the mail. Congrats!

question for you: what is your favorite part of blogging???

There are a few people that seem to be on the same writer's journey as me. They seem to be struggling against the same thing or they seem to have actually made it through the struggle successfully, or perhaps they are struggling against something that I made my way through. Hearing about these struggles and successes, from people that I seem to get to know bit by bit from each blog, is my favorite thing, especially when exchanging comments on each other's blog becomes a part of the weekly routine.

I love the comments and all of our writerly friends, but most of all I love the distraction!

Okay, I didn't win this contest, but I must say that I'm quite delighted that the dog drew the name! :) And, congratulations to Danyelle!

My favorite part of blogging has been meeting so many cool writers out there. If I wasn't impressed by the people who commented on my blog and who also led me to their blogs, I probably wouldn't have kept at it for very long.

Alright, alright, it was my youngest who did the actual name drawing....Daisy is talented, but not ambidextrious :D

And, yes. I am so inspired by the people I meet blogging.....people I would never otherwise meet - all over the world.

I have to agree. The best part about blogging is the sense that we're not alone out here on our computers. There is a whole world full of writers, each with a voice and something to say, and lots of them are very cool people.

I agree with Jody on making new friends!

Aw, what a cute poodle, Tess! My girls would love a little dog like that but, unfortunately, I'm allergic to them (the dogs, I mean!). :)

The best part of blogging is truly meeting & making new writer friends who share the same struggles, goals, ambitions, and, of course, love of books.

Oh yes, Congratulations, Danyelle!

Thanks everyone! And thank you, Tess! I've been really wanting to read this book ever since you showcased it on your blog. :D Shall email once the chipmunks are down for their afternoon nap. :D

I love blogging because I get to meet so many wonderful people that I otherwise wouldn't be able to know. That, for me, has made blogging worthwhile. :)

(Cute kids and dog!)

Thanks for the contest, Tess. It really made me think about what was standing in my way...and then it gave me the motivation to DO something about it!

The best thing about blogging...meeting others and getting inspired. :)
