Have You Ever...

.
felt like there was something just out of your reach?

You can see it.  You can imagine the weight of it in your hands.
.
and yet - it remains elusive.
.
That's where I've beenMusing on story.  Trying to reach for something that melts and frays and disappears just as it hits the warmth of my fingers.
.
Man, it sucks.

Tell Me: Have you ever felt this way?
.

More often than I care to admit.

Ha!

The story I'm working on, I have everything down but the plot.

:(

There is of course, an alternate path up the tree. We just have to find it.

I just went through this with the book I'm planning to write for Nano. And a few days ago, I figured it out, and everything fell into place like magic. It was a beautiful thing. :)

Absolutely! And this is sooo frustrating, but you stated it beautifully. Keep reaching and you'll grasp it. : )

I think everybody has. The question is whether to walk away and look for something more within reach, or grab an ax and bring the tree down. Hard work, chopping down a tree, especially for a turtle, but it might be able to be done.

And there might just be a plot in there somewhere... :)

Thanks, all. It helps to know I'm not alone in this feeling. It's getting closer...I can feel it!

Oh man, Tess! Every day. But somehow I find a lower branch from which I swing to that highest one. Ha.
