Two Book Give Away!

.
I recently revamped my office and came across some great books that I happen to have duplicates of.

.

What better thing to do than give them away?

.

We'll start today with a two book bundle.

.

The first is a new novel by Katherine Applegate titled The One and Only Ivan.  This tender novel is a quick read and will tug at your heartstrings.  It reminded me in concept of Charlotte's Web.  It would be great to read and then share with a young reader or local library.

.

The second is my very own

With a Name Like Love.  Okay - I didn't mean for my pic to come out larger than Ivan's ... tried to rework it twice but that's just what blogger is giving me. Anyway...

.

If you have a copy of this, it would be great to have you pass it on to your favorite teacher or librarian.  If you haven't read it, I'd love to hear your thoughts.

.

So - there it is.  Two books for only one comment.  The winner will be drawn at random next Sunday.

.

Tell Me:  What have you read lately that you'd consider a treasure worth recommending? My "to be read" stack is getting short and I need to start rebuilding it!

Just read The Night Circus and found it enjoyable. Don't know if I would HIGHLY recommend it, but my brain is about dead and I can't think of what else I have read.

Recommendations: The Writing Life by Ellen Gilchrist, Wouldn't Take Nothing for My Journey Now by Maya Angelou... if you haven't read them already.

And I happen to own and love both of those books! So no need to enter me into the drawing; I'll leave the space open for someone else. :)

I've been reading lots of Enid Blyton books. They were written in the 50's and are still being reprinted today (in England). I've also been reading more Boxcar Children books.

They both are lovely kiddo adventure books.

I should do something like that. I have lots of duplicates. I loved Elana Johnson's Surrender, and Brodi Ashton's Everneath.
