Dear Blogger:
.
I love blogging, I really do. I meet amazing people, find support, learn lots...
.
but, do you need to go and spoil it by making everything so much WORK?
.
seriously!
.
Now you require two verification words? two? and, not only that, you're going to twist them and mash them together into an impossible muddle so I am just shooting in the dark when I try to guess what you want me to type?
.
why do you delight in wasting my time and precious few brain cells? Stop! I am begging you.
.
You're driving me nuts!
.
sincerely,
.
me
.
.
P.S. I care about my blogging buddies so much that I turned off my word verification requirements on comments. let the spam come - It's not worth the headache to avoid it anymore.

LOL. I agree. I had to verify one comment three times before I got the words right.
I know they're meant to be hard, but sometimes they can be too hard.
It's agism. Clearly.
Linda: they are doing it on purpose and laughing at us from afar...I know it!
Martin: but why must it be difficult?
Jaye: speak for yourself ;)
I turned off my word verif during the A-Z challenge last year. I've had some spam, but just recently I turned off anonymous comments and I've had less spam.
Oh my, I'm so sorry. Blogger has more problems than we think! It's not letting me delete the extras. I'll just slink away quietly...
Okay, so now they're ALL gone. +Gives up.+ :)
Marcia: I LOVE this - ha! see? blogger is a pill :/
I don't think I've used a verification since I first began blogging. I've only ever gotten one message that I had to delete. I wouldn't worry.
(hugs to Marcia...)
YAY You!!!! Single word verification was bad enough...and now double?! I turned mine off a long time ago and I've not had a problem with spam. :)
Sharon and DL: I am so glad to hear this...we should start a campaign to get everyone to turn it off - it's annoying!
Ha ha ha! It's so funny that you wrote this because I was JUST NOW thinking the same thing as I typed in those stupid verification words on someone's blog. I was totally shooting in the dark and hoping I was typing the right letters. Yes, everyone should turn it off. I had it on for awhile and it did not help with spam at all. I get the same amount of spam now as I did then. Yes, everyone remove it! That would be lovely. :)
This is too too funny, I agree with you. Sometimes I have to stop and go back another time...just can't get it right.
I think I turned my verification off too. If I didn't I intended too. Someone let me know, I'm pretty good at using the delete button, hanging up on telemarketers, and the like.
