Three Things

One: I took your good advice and stepped away from my WIP (work in progress) this past week. It helped. I now know what is bugging me. Don't have a clue on how to fix it yet...but at least I know what the problem is.

Two:
I got both a Facebook page for my novel up and running as well as my author website. I go back and forth between being excited and feeling super dumb about having these things (do people even care?)
. I've linked them on my sidebar as well as w/in this post.

Three: a giggle for you!

How many mystery writers does it take to screw in a light bulb?

Two. One to screw it almost all the way in, and the other to give it a surprising twist at the end.

LMAO! That's like the funniest thing I have heard all day!

Glad you found your problem! Does your book have a Goodreads page yet? I will have to find it!

Great joke, Tess! I can hardly wait to get my hands on your book. I've been waiting since 2008!

Love the new look of the website.

And knowing the problem in a wip is one step closer to finding the solution, right?

Good luck.

Great joke. I'll steal that one for friends.

The website looks very interesting.

Tara: yes, it is on Goodreads. Not quite sure what to do over there...

Sharon: that's right! Chautauqua was 2008. What a blessing that conference was...especially since I met such lovely people.

Storyqueen: absolutely..one step closer.

Martin: steal away...how do you think I got it :)

So glad you know what's going on. So sorry that there will be some more tinkering. That's very frustrating.

P.S. I totally giggled at the mystery writer joke. ;)

I know the book will be great. Hang in there.

great post.

I woke up Sunday a.m. to find my blog, my 500 plus followers, my 100plus author interviews, and my 200 plus reviews gone. Blogger gave no explanation, but I think the account was hacked. Change your password often!

I have reloaded the interviews and reviews, plus redesigned the blog. But if you could, please hit the "follow" button so I can reclaim the fellow bloggers I miss. I'm still following you, as my account remained--thank goodness!

ROFL! That joke was funny ~ good one Tess!

Congrats on figuring out your WIP. I know you'll figure it out. As for FB and author sites ~ I'm sure at some point it will become useful for you to have those. To contact your fans and stuff. :)

I love the joke. It might take some brewing to get to the place of fixing the WIP. That and walks.

Oh, I love your light bulb joke!

I'm a bookseller and can't wait to read an ARC of your book. Thanks for stopping by my blog. Glad I found yours.

Tess, your Facebook Page and author website look great! I "like"d your page. I also love the cover of your book! I think covers are extremely important. A lot of covers make me NOT want to buy/read a book. Yours makes me want to buy it, read it, and snuggle it in bed.

Cool new website. It wasn't at all what I expected. I love how the words flip down and change when you pass the cursor over them.

I'm glad things are going well and you've figured out what you need to do. If you need to brainstorm or anything let me know.
