Get To It Already!

Do not dwell on the past,
do not dream of the future,
concentrate the mind on the present moment.

---Buddha

I love this concept because it reminds us we only have today.

I'm the queen of, I'm gonna start a more strict writing/exercising/reading/work schedule....really I will.....soon, I swear....

But today is the day for me to get off my duff and DO IT.

Yes, today is the day.

right after my nap ;)

Happy New Year all. Tell me....what will you resolve this day?

Happy new year, Tess! I resolve to read more. And this is one resolution I intend to keep.

Mary: I got cards sent but flaked on the usual neighbor gifts. *sigh* Here's wishing you have better luck than I on that.

Terry: yes, me too.

Cynthia: will you let me know which books you like best so I can read them too? I want to read more but love having a recommendation...

I put away Christmas on two levels of our house and partially put it away on another level. I helped my husband install speakers in the ceiling and put new lightbulbs in all the lights that needed them. It doesn't sound like much, but it was quite a feat considering how late I slept...

Happy New Year, Tess! I can't wait for LOVE to come out THIS year!!!!

It's my day too!!! I will treat myself better this year (healthy-wise, more sleep, more exercise, more good foods, more water.) And religious stuff. Temple more. Stuff like that. ;)

I love your Buddha quote!

I resolve to enjoy life...even if it does make me fat(ter).

Sharon: no, I get how much work that is. Putting Christmas away is an all day thing and my least favorite by far.

Ali: yes!

Martin: hahahahaha....ah, how I relate.

Bahaha I loved this!!!!

I love the Buddha quote, I just wish I could realy add it to my mind and have it stick. It would be so cool for me to accept something like that, very Eat, Pray, Love.

I've never been too good with the resolutions myself, but this year I'm going to try and be more organized about things. It's going to be an uphill battle for me.

My New Year's resolution is to give up procrastinating but so far I have procrastinated getting started on that.

Jen: I'm likely the only person in the universe who didn't read/watch Eat Pray Love...must get with it!

Kristen: yes, a horrible fate to endure

morrow: hello! haha...love the laugh. thanks, I needed it today :D
