My niece was just posting the same thing. She's at the Y. It's supposed to get to 80 here today. We had to turn the AC back on. My toes are a little cold. *sheepish grin*
Mother Nature is going through menopause. I mean, how else do you explain the weather we've had in my part of the country: 80 degrees in April, extreme heat through the summer, and then 80 degrees for most of October. We've been 10 - 15 degrees above normal. Mother Nature is having hot flashes and cold chills (thus the snow in your area). Someone needs to put her on hormone replacement therapy.
*ducks* No smacking for me today. No snow either, but it has poured buckets. My mother would call it a toad frog strangle--how's that for a nice southernism. It even fits with your book.
Last year we had snow by this time...I just shot you an email...It is so windy here that the siding on the front of my house is blowing off and my new roof shingles are flapping in the wind!!! I'm starting to worry about what is to come....
Oh NO!!!!! I do not want to see even a picture of that white stuff yet! Eeeek! I hope you have the warm clothes and boots out. And the hot chocolate! How many days until spring?
Wow! That's a lot of snow for October! And way too early to be starting!
After our record blizzards last year (I live in the land of Snowmageddon), I've been addicted to weather prediction websites. The fortunetellers are forecasting snowier and colder than normal for the east, but not like last year. I'm kinda bummed. I liked the five feet! (Of course, we got it in Dec and Feb; if it had come in Oct, I might feel differently!)
That is really something. Hopefully you won't get the kinds of blizzards that hit the East Coast last year. Thanks for the photo--I can imagine it's cold, but the shot is beautiful.

Pretty, but who wants to trick-or-treat in snowpants? Perhaps this means we're in for a doozy of a winter this year...
This is insane! I'm looking forward to finally wearing something other than short sleeve shirts.
lotusgirl: if you weren't half way across the nation I'd smack you.
Laurel: no one, that's who!
Karen: it has been pretty nice here up until this mess.
I posted about the early snow, too. It actually made me cheerful!!
Holy snow! We're having record highs this week. I think it's going to be 87 today.

See, we're at 6,000 feet here in Colorado and no snow yet. We almost always have snow by now. Weird. But I am thankful for it!
Utah weather and I are fickle lovers. In spring and summer, we're hot and heavy but in winter...I'm filled with murderous rage. >:(
What's that white stuff covering everything?
Seriously? Crazy! I'm in shorts today in New England. It's off up here too.

I heard that October didn't take too kindly to Utah. *shivers at the sight of snow*
Hope your'e staying warm!
LOL! Oh, wow! We have snow on the mountains, but not below. So sorry, Tess. I'm sure we'll be next down here south of you.
Stay warm!
I don't remember where exactly you live, Tess. But you've go more snow than we do!
Oh no! That picture is so wrong for this time of year. Just looking at it makes me cold.
ROFL! Yep. That was pretty much my reaction too!
Wow. That's a lot of snow!! Brrr. Stay warm.

Please tell me that's a joke. I don't even want to THINK about snow yet!
Grrrr, blogger ate my intelligent comment. And, I forgot what it was. :)
Oh yeah, I want my swimming pool. Waaaahaaaa
How long until spring??
Pretty, but way too early! Time to pull out the snow boots. :)

Where did fall go? It just makes me sad.
Seriously?!?! OMG! That's crazy! Hope you're staying warm and cozy!

Oh man, but it's gorgeous! Makes me want to stay inside and write a book! :)
