A while ago, the fantastic BJ Anderson started this thing called 'Unplug Week'.
It's the third week of every month.
We unplug from the computer (it's painful, I know. Large amounts of chocolate seem to help)
and focus on our manuscripts.
Right now, I really need to focus on my WIP (writerly code for Work In Progress)
So, I'm going to participate.
Back next Monday with a post about 'Novel Middles'
For anyone who got this far in this boring, rambling post... here's a silly joke for you to share with your favorite kiddo:
What did the zero say to the eight?
Nice belt.

This is such a fabulous idea! I really need to turn off my computer for a week too. Maybe then I'll get more done on my WIP...and I'll have a reason to overdose on chocolate - it'd be a win win situation.
Hope you have a very productive week sans computer.
BTW - Love the joke - lol!
That was a pretty clever joke, seriously. ;)
I think I'm going to participate in unplugged week myself. It's hard but my WIP will love me more for it. ;)
Good luck with your WIP!
Great joke, I'm going to share that one with my kids.
Happy unplugged week!
That joke is so cute and one I might actually be able to memorize. Have a blast creating this week.

I may unplug today. OK. well in a little bit. :) Love the joke.
Ha! Cute joke!
Funny joke. Plug away at the WIP. I have another number joke. Why was 6 afraid of 7? Because 7 (ate) 9.
Enjoy your time away. I hope you get lots done!
Loved the joke. It took me a minute, but very funny. And a new one. My kids will love it! :)
It was worth it to get to the joke! Enjoy your week, Tess.
Enjoy your week! Thanks for the joke:-)
Smart move! I may join you! Have a productive and wonderful week.
*Waving* Goodbye. See you (read you) again soon.
I do love BJ! Enjoy your week of being unplugged. :)
Have a great unplug--we'll miss you. (And my 6 yo daughter loved the joke!)
Have a good cleansing. See you in a week!
Har-dee-har-ha-ha! Funnnnny..."nice belt".
I hope you're enjoying unplug week and are able to meet your goals.
I've been unplugged far too long, need to get back into the swing of things...if I ever find the time again. LOL
I have absolutely no idea how I could unplug from my computer. I wake up, plug in, check home emails. Unplug, cross London, plug in work office, do work stuff. Unplug seven hours later, cross London, get home, eat, plug in, do home-writing stuff. Technically I could unplug at home... hm. That would be a novel experience (she says, realising the pun!)
Ha! Ha! Have fun unplugging, and I hope your WIP sails smoothly!
Smart girl! We SO need to do this. Hope you're making tons of progress!
I just got back from a week of being unplugged on vacation - I just might make it a monthly occurence as well. It's hard to do, but the wip could definitely use some more attention!
