What a Weekend, and a Winner

Can I just say how fun it is having your kiddos be old enough for a mountain hike up to a gorgeous waterfall on 4th of July weekend? No whining, no diaper bag, just everyone pulling their own weight. Beautiful stuff. Now, I miss the sweet soapy smell and tiny bums of little ones, but you have to enjoy the stage your at, right?

Hey, look at me. I made a writing analogy.

Ok, I know you didn't pop over to look at my kids, so on with the winner of our Free Stuff Friday drawing...

Using random.org the winner is:

BJ Anderson

Congrats, BJ! email me your address at tesshilmo(at)comcast.(dot)net and I'll get that Barnes and Noble gift card in the mail.

Happy Monday, friends! Let's get to writing!

Oh, I can't wait until I can go places without a diaper bag. But I DO love the smell of Johnson's Baby soap. I suppose every stage has it's pros and cons!

I hear what you are saying about kids getting older and starting to pull their own weight. My youngest is three and a half, but there is a big difference now that he can cruise on his bike. Can't wait for the hiking phase you are in. Great photo!

Oh, I just love the picture! How fun! I hear you on the 'everyone pulling his own weight.' It's such a pleasure to take a long bike ride with my kids. No whining, no stopping, just gliding along at the same speed. Magical!

Baby bums! Maybe I'll have to incorporate a baby bum into my bum week posts. One word - so many meanings!

Congrats to BJ!

Girl, you had a terrific 4th. What beauty. Mine was great too. First, I love to ride my horses, second comes hiking. I love to be out there looking at everything God made. The waterfall looks breathtaking.

Good luck on your writing today. :)

Aw, I'm sorry I missed the contest! But congrats to the winner. :)

Staying "in the moment" is tough. It's so easy to remember when or look ahead to... Your hike looks fabulous! What a beautiful spot.

Gorgeous picture! And as someone who is currently enjoying the tiny bums of little ones stage, I have to say there is a part of me that looks forward to when my baby gets older and we can get out and explore the world more easily.
