Really, guess.
Give up?
It's me and Lady Glamis (and her adorable little daughter). I'm in the brown T-shirt, holding Glam's daughter...Glam is the petite doll in that pretty blue-green shirt.
Listen to the fate of this meeting:
- me: feeling uncertain about my manuscript, wanting advice and objective feedback - asks Lady Glamis, a blogging friend, about beta readers
- glam: feeling sorry for pathetic ol' Tess... offers to beta read
- me: e mail Lady Glamis my ms
-glam: looks at manuscript and notices I live 20 minutes away from her
honestly, folks. 20 measly minutes.
So, we met up for lunch and then took that cutie pie daughter to the park. We sat on the swings and talked about writing and our books and our families.
Cool stuff.
Sometimes life just hands you a friend on a silver platter.
Thanks, life. *smiles*

Michelle is quite the cool person. She's even let me crash her quiet night with my whining. I did bring shakes tho.
Wow! How awesome is that! You guys are so blessed! I would love for the opportunity to meet up with some of my blogging friends and talk writing! I couldn't imagine a more fun thing to do!
Why is it no one wants to live in Alabama with me???
*realizes that is a very silly question*
It's great you two are so close by! Baby looks adorable and you two look fabulous!
That's so cool! I am happy you two got the chance to meet and have some fun writing/family talking time.
Tres cool. Wish I lived closer to my blogger friends, too. Oh, well. At least the two of you were able to meet.

Well, Tess, I just have to say that you are awesome! This won't be our last meeting, that's for sure. And I won't Natalie slip away either! We three need to get together for sure.
Thanks for a great time!
Cute pics! I hope to someday meet some of our virtual friends, but I think we'll have to wait for a conference.
That is so awesome. And what a cute little girl! This is me...jealous. :)
That's just awesome! And what a cute little girl. :)
That's so cool! I don't know if I've ever commented on your blog, but I do visit and read it. :)
Wow, what a wonderful meeting! I'd love to meet some blogger friends, but I'll probably have to wait for a conference, too. Boo. Ah well . . . On the bright side, though, you both look great and what an adorable little girl! Glad y'all had fun! :)
Ah...silver platter friends. The pic is darling and all ya'll are gorgeous gals!
Cool!
Lei - I could say the same about England. I'd prefer Alabama to England!
An agent and a new 'in person' friendship. Now if y'all had chocolate, I'll say this; "It can't get any better!" Glad you two met up and thanks for sharing the pic. Michelle, what a beautiful daughter, you have!:)
YAY! You're both so sweet, its great to see two wonderful people's paths crossing. :)
Oh, and Lei, it's because you're not going to stay their permanently! You know we'll meet someday. It's a must!
And Natalie, I will have you over anytime, even without ice cream.
What's wrong with Alabama? It's beautiful in the south and the people are top notch! And, England? Man alive would I love to go there!! Still, it was very fun and you guys are great to see the coolness of the coincidence.
And, you're right. Glam's little girl is too die for cute.
And, welcome candice! I always love a new blogging/writing friend :)
How cool is that?
I just read this on Lady G's blog! So cool! And...I live like, 5 minutes from her. Which means, are you doing the math?? LOL. I must live close to you too! We should have a lunch thing where anyone who lives remotely close to us in this state is invited. Maybe I'll do that next week. I mean, I know a couple of other people from around here too. I can rattle off several names of bloggers in, uh, our area.
Thoughts on that? Just an open call to meet at a certain time and place and if you can make it, great. I'm sooo into that. What say you?
Elana, I sent out an email to start the ball rolling. YAY!
That is so cool I can hardly stand it. *starts turning green with envy* Someday we'll all be able to get together. What can I say? NC is not very close, but I love it here.
I'm slightly jealous, but happy for the both of you. That's a great picture! It's so amazing when you find out you live close to someone you met online. And, 20 minutes! That's a bit insane. :P
Very cool!!
i love when that happens! I am jealous!
How fun is that?!
